Mayfield Maximus Primus EX95
The first Mayfield calf to be born on the farm. Maximus is a proven breeder of top quality females and bulls. Sons of him have sold all over the UK whilst all his daughters have been retained to expand our herd. Maximus was the champion of the North of England calf show in 2018, overall inter-breed champion of the Wolsingham show 2021 and three times winner of the North of England herd competition. He is the only bull in the UK to have achieved two 97 scores (for body and beef character) in linear classification. Semen is available for sale via Breedplan:
Mayfield Prince Theodore EX91
Prince Theodore is a direct son of the legendary Weebollabolla Theodore T85 and Frimley Rene Dottie is his dam. Weebollabolla Theodore T85 is the most used bull in the beef shorthorn breed over the last 30 years with more than 1,000 offspring registered and he is best known for breeding exceptional females. Mayfield Prince Theodore has exceptional good calving figures and we expect his first female offspring to calve in 2024. Semen is available for sale via Breedplan:
Mayfield Nimrod EX91
Nimrod’s sire is the famous Crooked Post Stockman 4Z and his dam is Waukaru Melita Rose, one of the most prominent female donors of the last 15 years in North-America. Nimrod combines exceptional growth figures with a moderate mature size. The females tend to have top milk figures and have very good udders.
Sovereign of Upsall
Sovereign was purchased at the Stirling Bull sales in 2024 in a share with Chapelton Beef Shorthorns. He is a long bull with a great top line and great EBVs.

Royalla Rembrandt K413 and Royalla Rockstar
Rembrandt is a half-brother to Royalla Rockstar but they are not similar bulls. Rembrandt inherits great thickness and body to his offspring whilst Rockstar’s offspring tend to be slightly smaller with less thickness but very good calving ease.
Crooked Post Stockman 4Z
Stockman was selected for our ET program after careful analysis of the most used bulls in North-America. He combines top growth, great fertility, docility, top milk figures, great carcass yield and excellent udders in his daughters. He brings an all-round commercial package and is perfectly suited to be used on the generally larger UK shorthorns. We have an ET son of him retained as a stock bull and we use semen of another of his sons (Crooked Post Drover 29D) in our IVF/ET program.
Mayfield Rembrandt
Mayfield Rembrandt is an ET bull from a customised flush program at Sprys Shorthorns, Australia. His sire is Royalla Rembrandt and his dam is Sprys Miss Buddy, on of the highest ever selling females in the breed. Mayfield Rembrandt was used on some of our heifers and semen was collected for our own use prior to sale of the bull to John Scott,Fearn Farm.
Weebollabolla Theodore T85
This bull needs little introduction. Weebollabolla Theodore T85 is the most used bull in the beef shorthorn breed over the last 30 years with more than 1,000 offspring registered and he is best known for breeding exceptional females. His genetics come back in large amount of excellent bloodlines.
Muridale Thermal Energy 15A
We have recently starting this bull’s genetics through our ET program as semen could not be imported into the UK. Thermal Energy is currently one of the best all-round shorthorn bulls in the world and leads the All Purpose Index in both North-America and Australia were he has already been extensively used. We have his first calves on the ground and expect his genetics to play an important role in the future of our herd.
