Our cattle are bred in the beautiful Weardale in the North-East of England, where the breeding of Shorthorn cattle started several centuries ago.
New agricultural subsidy schemes and the termination of single farm payments is changing the farming landscape in the UK. There is an increased requirement for easy to keep, docile, maternal and winter-hardy cattle with excellent forage conversion in future sustainable farming. The versatility of Beef Shorthorns makes them the prime breed to use in modern commercial suckler cow enterprises, either as pure-breds or when used in crossbreeding.
